If the /check option is not set during a capture operation, the flag is ignored during an apply operation. That was my issue (out of space). The source and destination files must use the same compression type. This value is optional.

It will not delete the files there with any program. However, increasing your pagefile size will do if you believe you could still work on your RAM. The /verify option helps prevent that from happening.
