It's happened to me. the Number 1 and fails. She has artifacts around her in IE8 (I haven't tested it in previous versions of IE, but I'm assuming it probably does the same). And although IE7 does display png’s with transparency — it also doesn’t display png’s correctly for background images.

Users who cannot upgrade to IE 7 (because IE 7 is not being released for most Windows operating systems) should use a better browser, such as Opera or Firefox. Its changed the way I codesites.
